daydreaming

sileō. 2016 - ongoing.
Daydreaming: a short-term detachment from one’s immediate surroundings, during which a person’s contact with reality is blurred and partially substituted by a visionary fantasy. This series is created with a techinique called Polaroid emulsion lift, in which the emulsion layer of the photo is removed from the sheet of instant film and then transferred to a different surface, in this case, another polaroid. The emulsions are from photos shot with cyan and magenta film created by Impossible. The bases are polaroids from both Spectra and SX70 cameras.
